Valiant Swords goes virtual with its first video-game inspired sword, Link’s Master Sword from “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.” Gamers and sword-lovers alike can enjoy this detailed replica straight from the fantasy world of the famous “Zelda” series.
“The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess” is an action-adventure saga released by Nintendo for the Wii and GameCube consoles in 2006. The story of “Twilight Princess” follows the protagonist Link trying to stop the fantasy world of Hyrule from being consumed by a dark parallel dimension called the Twilight Realm. To save Hyrule, Link must find the Light Spirits stolen by the King of the Twilight. When the evil King turns Link into a wolf, Zelda informs Link that he needs the Master Sword to be restored to human form. With the sword in possession, Link is then able to switch back and forth between human and wolf form at will. The unique lore behind this magical sword inspired Valiant Swords to capture the weapon in real steel.
Valiant Swords’ reproduction of the Master Sword aims to please the avid “Zelda” gamer with its precise details. The sword is 46 inches long with a 440 stainless steel, double-edged, distal-tapered blade. The blade also features an engraved seal at the top. The scabbard is made of blue-finished hardwood, and the guard displays gold-painted detailing. The cast resin handle has light banded indentations for an easy grip and has a scalloped pommel.
“The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess” was the 13th installment of the series and was considered by many to be the greatest “Zelda” game ever made. “Twilight Princess” received several Game of the Year Awards, making it the most critically acclaimed video game of 2006. It was also a fulfillment of the wishes of many “Zelda” fans campaigning for a more realistic and mature game for the series – the game was the first to be rated “T” for Teen.
Valiant Swords also features swords from a variety of other media, including films such as “Gladiator” and “The Eagle,” to spark the interest of sword lovers from all realms.
