Manhattan, KS (PRWEB) July 24, 2012
CivicPlus, the leading developer of comprehensive community engagement websites for local government, announced today a powerful upgrade to its facility management tool set to be released by the end of this year.
CivicPlus’ current Facilities & Reservations Module will undergo an overhaul, not only in improvements to existing functionality like the ability to view information about and reserve facilities (i.e. community buildings, parks shelters, meeting rooms, etc.), but also by adding in new features like epayments, enhanced scheduling and facility reservation management, updated photo slideshows, mapping integrations and improved searchability.
The upgrade to the Facilities & Reservations Module is the first piece to CivicPlus’ planned Parks and Recreation Suite, which will incorporate other modules specifically geared towards parks and recreation class, activity and sports team management and signups.
“The entire Parks & Recreation Suite, starting with the Facilities upgrade, is a big step in helping citizens do even more online,” CivicPlus CEO Ward Morgan said. “People go to their local government website looking to complete a task or transaction, and parks and recreation tends to be one of the most popular ways to do that. These features will make it easier than ever for our clients and their citizens.”
Once complete, the Facilities & Reservations Module upgrade – as well as the future Parks & Recreation Suite features – will be made available to all CivicPlus clients at no cost.
