The Modesto Campus of Bradman University, part of the Chapman University System, has partnered with U.S. Representative Jeff Denham (R-Turlock) and the Stanislaus Economic Development & Workforce Alliance (the Alliance) to provide free employment workshops and a resume review clinic. The free workshops and clinic are being held in advance of Rep. Denham’s Central Valley Job Fair, which will take place at the Stanislaus County Fair Grounds on August 22. If you are presently looking for a new job, you are invited to participate in workshops and informational seminars focusing on interview skills, resume writing and networking to better prepare for interviews with potential employers.
Scheduled seminars at the Brandman University Modesto Campus (5222 Pirrone Court, Salida, CA 95368) will be held on Tuesday, August 14 and include:
Resume Clinic: Learn strategies for putting together a resume that highlights your individual skills and critique an existing resume to attract the job you want, and have your resume reviewed by an expert. 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m. and 6:00pm
Interview Strategies: The key to landing a new job is in the job interview; this workshop provides tips and tactics, and the opportunity to practice job interview skills. 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Online Job Search Strategies: Learn ways to incorporate social media into the job search through networking and position search strategies. 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

“Looking for work is a difficult and often frustrating experience. We want to help make the process easier by hosting these events to provide an opportunity for job seekers to meet face-to-face with employers looking for new hires in the Valley. This event will be free and open to veterans, active military, students and the public,” Rep. Denham said.
“Our job fair will feature Central Valley employers seeking new hires in a wide range of fields. Employers will be accepting resumes and meeting with interested applicants throughout the fair. We’re also coordinating efforts with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Hiring Our Heroes’ program and Google’s ‘NetVets’ program to provide job search resources to help ease our returning service members’ transition into the civilian workforce and put our veterans to work,” he added.
