CHICAGO – In her autobiography “My Life is in God's Hands: The Autobiography of Shereice Garrett” (published by Trafford Publishing), Shereice Garrett takes readers through the various beats of her life story, sharing the details of her childhood as well as her life as an adult. Through each story, she shows readers how she relied on her faith in God to keep moving forward.
Because of her health, Garrett says she was thrown many curve balls in life. But she never gave up, and she always turned to God and faith as a guide to life. Even when her life flashed before her eyes – multiple times – Garrett still felt safely tucked way in God’s hands.
An excerpt from “My Life is in God's Hands”:
“It is amazing how God works. I was allowing my human side to come out and starting to worry about my health situations (although I wouldn’t allow my family and friends to know). I had just begun to study the book of Lamentations when for some reason; God led me to the book of Job.”
“Life is forever changing, always evolving,” explains Garrett. She knows how quickly things can take a turn for the worst, having faced many setbacks in her life journey. “When life throws you that unfortunate curve ball that changes your life forever, you must never give up. Sometimes things don’t always work out the way you want it, but with hard work and determination, it will work out in the end.”
