There is no excuse for failing to get an education, even if it comes the hard way.

“There is no excuse for failing to get an education, even if it comes the hard way.” This is the guiding theme of the new memoir, “Looking Back” (published by AuthorHouse), by H. H. (Bill) Adams.
Adams’ life experiences make for an engaging and inspiring story. In “Looking Back” Adams speaks of growing up in poverty and working to help support his family. He also tells of his nearly single-minded pursuit of an education, his entry into the U.S. Army before the start of World War II and his four years as a non-commissioned officer training combat soldiers. But Adams’ accomplishments don’t end there.
After attending night classes to earn his college degree, Adams served a term in the state legislature, then five terms as speaker in the senior legislature. He credits his personal determination with delivering him from what could have been a bleak and hopeless existence.
“Nothing is impossible,” Adams says of his life story and offers as motivational advice to his target audience: young adults.
“Many of those who have read the book thinks it's a must read for their teenagers,” he notes. “The book is an encouragement to all children, because nothing is impossible.”
