Aqute Launches New Competitive Intelligence Training

Training courses will give business executives access to powerful competitive intelligence techniques. A wide-ranging set of modules will cover basic and advanced techniques for analyzing competitors and creating effective strategies.

Competitive intelligence company Aqute Intelligence has announced the launch of a new competitive intelligence training program for business professionals.

Aqute’s new courses will cover some of the most effective techniques in competitive intelligence, from core internet search skills to advanced competitor analysis. These are techniques that Aqute has used to deliver competitor analysis to Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft, Pfizer, Procter & Gamble and many others.     

“Competitive intelligence is important across all of a company’s business teams, not just the competitive intelligence or strategy units. There is a lot of information that executives can find out for themselves, quickly and efficiently without needing to commission major research projects,” says Aqute’s Trevor Long. “A solid grounding in competitive intelligence will enable executives to conduct better and more sophisticated competitor analysis.”

Selected course modules covering competitive intelligence techniques include: core and advanced search techniques; searching patent, trademark and legal databases; social media search; how to find competitor pricing; creating a competitor’s organization chart; ethical primary research techniques; early indicators of competitors’ moves; and analyzing financial reports.

Selected course modules covering competitor analysis include: frameworks for competitor analysis; identifying competitive blindspots; and financial modeling.

Course modules covering competitive intelligence operations include: building a competitive intelligence function; getting competitive intelligence read and used; and influencing senior executives with competitive intelligence.

These course modules cover all important aspects of competitive intelligence, and will be customized where appropriate for the needs of individual companies.

“Many executives know that the competitive intelligence they need may be publicly available, but they may not have a structured method for discovering it. Competitive intelligence training will provide attendees with much of the knowledge that Aqute analysts use every day to create in-depth competitive analysis.
