The Cunard liner, Queen Elizabeth will visit Liverpool on Friday 3 August and Mersey Ferries will be there to welcome her to Merseyside.
A trip on the famous Mersey Ferry is the best way to get a close up view of this magnificent liner and to celebrate the visit there will be Blue Badge Guides giving live commentaries onboard each of Mersey Ferries’ River Explorer Cruises.
River Explorer Cruises depart hourly from Liverpool’s Pier Head terminal between 10am and 3pm, half past the hour from Seacombe and twenty to the hour from Woodside.
Liam Robinson, Chair of Merseytravel, who own and operate the Mersey Ferries, said: “Liverpool is a great destination for the world’s leading cruise liners and how fitting that the Queen Elizabeth is visiting us in this jubilee year.”
Direct / Commuter services during late afternoon and evening will also offer a great opportunity to see this magnificent liner close up and will have Blue Badge Guides onboard providing live commentary on sailings from Liverpool from 4.10pm until 6.45pm.
