Waterfront Properties and Club Communities’ real-estate partner, BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., wrapped up its second successful Junior Cup and declared a victor.
East beat West!
The two teams, comprised of young players ages 14 to 17, competed for two days on BallenIsles’ esteemed East Course. Day one featured a four-ball tournament on the front nine and foursomes on the back nine. Day two saw straight singles matches.
A total of 36 of the area’s most talented golfers participated in the prestigious invitational event, including standouts Zachary Bariso, Emily Faulkner, Conor Richardson, Lucy Robson, Radi Sauro and Zachary Smith.
The goal of the Junior Cup is to showcase the next generation of golfers, celebrate their talents and help them reach their best potential, said Brian Kelley, director of golf. It kicked off with a demonstration day, featuring sponsors Cleveland Golf and Srixon giving the athletes the opportunity to test drivers and other equipment. A pairings party followed the demonstration, where the sponsored doled out golf bags, shirts, hats and balls.
The Junior Cup wasn’t all about competition. Scholarship For Athletes, a company that educates students and their families about the recruiting process, was on site to provide information about golf scholarships.
Waterfront Properties partnered with the board of the 1,300-acre gated community in northern Palm Beach County in the Spring of 2012, forging a strong business relationship with the mission of marketing, listing and selling homes for sale in BallenIsles.
