New Hires Expand Kaleidoscope’s Reach

Kaleidoscope is expanding staff to increase the firm’s ability to transform business through innovation and design.

Kaleidoscope, an innovation and design consultancy with global headquarters in Cincinnati, recently added four new staff members and promoted its Director of Design and IxD Manager, increasing the firm’s ability to architect holistic solutions.

New hires include Chris Collins as Executive Creative Director and Helene Cissell as Senior Medical Business Development Manager in the Cincinnati office, Kelli Pettigrew as Director of Business Development in the Indianapolis office, and Chad Chaumont as Design Manager in the New York office. Chris Hammond was recently appointed Senior Director of Innovation and New Product Development and Micah Zender was promoted to Senior Creative Director. Both are based in Cincinnati.

Chris Collins joins Kaleidoscope’s multidisciplinary team from HTC America Innovation, where he served as a design director. Previously, Collins was Head of U.S. Studios and Head of Creative Product Design for Sony Ericsson. He attended the University of Cincinnati and completed the executive leadership program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Prior to Kaleidoscope, Helene Cissell enjoyed a successful career in pharmaceutical and medical device sales, operated a home care company for senior citizens and disabled clients, and is a registered nurse. She attended Bowling Green State University and Valparaiso University. She is tasked with focusing on Kaleidoscope’s major medical accounts.

Kelli Pettigrew brings experience in business development from companies including Mediasauce, Fedex Kinkos, Quantum Color, AT&T and NCR. She previously owned The Basement Design + Motion, a digital design studio, and serviced accounts throughout the Midwest. Kelli graduated from Cumberland College with a BA and is pursuing her MBA from the University of Dayton.

Chad Chaumont has diverse experience; most recently as an Industrial Design Lead at Speck Products in Palo Alto, California. He also worked in the innovation and design team at Motorola Solutions and various consultancies. He attended the Academy of Art College in San Francisco and McNeese State University in Louisiana.

Chris Hammond has served as Director of Design and Design Manager at Kaleidoscope in both Cincinnati and New York. His previous experience includes work as a consultant for Symbol Technologies and Global Design Manager for Uniden Corporation. He attended Brigham Young University.

Micah Zender has served as IxD/UX/Graphics Manager at Kaleidoscope and was previously Chief Creative Officer at both Triplefin and Baker Street Labs. He attended the University of the Arts and was a professor of digital design at the University of Cincinnati.
