Charleston, SC web development company seeks world's worst website. Enter their contest to win a free website redesign.

Whether it looks like it was built in the 80’s, has a hideous Flash intro or starts blaring music as soon as you land there, everyone comes across websites daily that make them cringe. More Caffeine Studio, a Charleston, S.C.-based web design and marketing firm, is offering to redo one of these monstrosities as part of their Ugly Website contest.

Individuals are welcome to submit either their own or another website for consideration via the More Caffeine Studio blog at The contest is open to anyone except current clients of the company, and submissions will be accepted through Aug. 31, 2012. Entrants must know the website’s owner so the company can contact them to claim the prize, worth $2000. After scouring the ugliest entries, the company owners, Jared and Stephanie Smith, will announce a winner Sept. 1 at 5 p.m. eastern.

“We’ve had it with these poorly designed websites,” says Stephanie Smith, co-owner. “They are certainly a dime a dozen. If you feel like you have – or have come across – the world’s ugliest website we want to do something about it! Send it in and have a chance at erasing it from the web forever!”
