Cloud-based software allows insurance professionals to focus on the business of insurance so they and their customers benefit.
University Park, IL (PRWEB) July 25, 2012
More than nine of 10 insurance agents and brokers choose a cloud-based management system when they purchase from insurance software company Applied Systems, according to data the company recently released about customer purchase preferences.
Applied Systems said that in 2011, 94 percent of new customers selected the company’s software as a service (SaaS) offerings. Applied Systems hosts the SaaS or cloud-based systems in secure data centers, and agencies and brokerages access their data from anywhere there’s an Internet connection, including mobile devices. The company said agents and brokers choose online systems for their ability to most effectively manage client and policy information, minimize data security risk, reduce operating expenses, and drive sustainable growth and profitability.
The company also reports that growing numbers of agents and brokers are electing to move away from hosting Applied Systems agency and broker management software in their own facilities, choosing Applied Systems’ SaaS offerings instead.
National Brokerage Services in Montreal, Quebec, recently moved to TAMOnline® after hosting Applied Systems TAM® in its own offices. The broker’s primary reason for moving to the cloud-based system was to deliver fast, reliable service to insurance customers.
“Moving from TAM to TAMOnline allows us to do what we say we can do—that’s to provide good, fast service,” said Stéphane Boudreau, underwriter and systems manager at National Brokerage Services. “We no longer have to spend time on software updates and many other aspects of IT management. Now they’re done automatically for us with TAMOnline, and we can focus on taking care of our clients and growing our business.”
Boudreau also noted that the cloud-based broker management system enables producers to work remotely from the field, vastly increasing their productivity and reducing dependence on assistance from colleagues in the office.
“Agents and brokers have realized that moving to a cloud-based environment affords them greater security to minimize business risk, and it enables them to drive greater growth and profitability,” said Applied Systems CEO Reid French. “Cloud-based software allows insurance professionals to focus on the business of insurance so they and their customers benefit from the advantages of a SaaS-based system.”
