We’re rightly proud to have achieved the Silver Communications certification
(PRWEB UK) 27 July 2012
proAV, one of the world’s leading audio visual systems integrators, has achieved Microsoft Silver Communications Competency certification and, following a lengthy and vigorous testing and assessment process, is now ranked in the top 5% of all global Microsoft partners.
In order to attain the Communications competency, proAV capitalised on a growing unified communications market by deploying Microsoft Lync Server 2010 through its high profile customer base and generating a consistent revenue stream via its support and other managed services. proAV was also required to pass a series of high level qualifying exams, application tests, a licensing overview assessment and a sales and marketing assessment whist providing customer evidence of successful Lync solutions.
The Silver Communications Competency accreditation was awarded in respect of proAV’s UC Exchange and will enable proAV to offer consultancy guidance on Lync’s video and voice integration, including Cisco’s Call Manager, to the wider Microsoft partner community. In addition, the accreditation is recognised by proAV’s video communication specialists as a natural step in the process to gain Microsoft Gold Partner status, as Danny Rogers, Director of Sales, Video Communications reveals.
‘We’re rightly proud to have achieved the Silver Communications certification,’ confirms Danny. ‘On our journey towards Gold Partner status, we’ve worked hard to migrate the next generation of productivity tools into many of our clients’ unified communications infrastructures. We’re now delivering revolutionary, intuitive and exceptionally cost-effective user experiences and ensuring that video remains a premium component of Microsoft’s Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) portfolio that we’re proud to recommend.
‘Our aim is to work closely with the increasing number of end users who are currently evaluating a Lync deployment, those considering how they can merge Lync seamlessly into the native video (SIP) world and other clients who should look at the Lync and room-based video hardware that will enable them to experience, for example, Polycom’s incredible RealPresence solutions. From September 2012, proAV will be running a series of Technology Uncovered events that will demonstrate exactly how Lync sits within the VC world and how organisations of all sizes and sectors can benefit from the unique collaborative experiences it brings.’
Unified communications bring together a world of technologies and services, applications and devices to connect networks, organisations and their people in office and mobile environments, including BYOD (Bring your own Device) applications. proAV devises powerful unified communications strategies that harmonise AV infrastructure, voice and video collaboration, conferencing and telepresence, telephony and instant messaging.
