Street Toyota Scion employees will compete in a flag football game on Wednesday, July 25 in Amarillo, Texas at 8:00pm.
Street Toyota Scion has sponsored a group of employees from the dealership to play in the Flag Football X League of Amarillo and Lubbock.
“Our employees are always looking for ways of getting involved with the community,” Mike Good, Street Toyota General Manger said. “We sponsored a team because we know they will have a good time while representing our dealership.”
The team consists of Joey Sykes, Lionel Wilson, Tanner Carney, Jeremy Carter, Zane Luster, Demaso Hernandez and Chris Reyes who all work in the Express Department at Street Toyota Scion.
“We are excited that Street Toyota Scion sponsored our team,” Jeremy Carter, Express Technician said. “We named our team, ‘Street Express,’ in honor of the dealership.”
Tonight the “Street Express” team will play the “Raven’s.” The “Raven’s” also consist of several employees from Street Toyota Scion. The Raven’s consist of Mac Fierro, Nicholas Talley, Johnny Brown, Leroy Cruz and Ruby Cruz.
“We are really excited to be playing tonight,” Mac Fierro, Accessories Adviser said. “It is going to be a lot of fun because we all know each other and we will get to spend time together outside of work.”
The Flag Football X League is a national program with leagues in Arizona, California, Florida and Texas. During the games, no team member is allowed to touch one another and the games last 40 minutes.
The teams will play each other at Martin Road Park in Amarillo tonight.
