Peter A. Antonucci, a shareholder in the New York City office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been selected to receive the 2012 Edmund S. Muskie Pro Bono Service Award from the American Bar Association (ABA) Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS). The award honors Antonucci’s commitment to public service, dedication to justice for all citizens and his role as a distinguished leader of the section.
According to the American Bar Association, “Peter's pro bono representation of the families of firefighters who were killed in the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center and his ongoing leadership work in support of the Alzheimer’s Association make him a terrific recipient of this very important honor that TIPS bestows on its members dedicated to public service and justice for those in need of assistance during a very difficult period in their lives,” said Randy Aliment ,TIPS Chair.
The Edmund S. Muskie Pro Bono Service award will be presented during the annual ABA meeting on August 5th at the James K. Carroll Leadership & Awards Dinner at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Antonucci, who is Vice-Chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Litigation Practice, has extensive litigation experience in matters pertaining to products liability, toxic torts, punitive damages, hotel management, criminal/internal investigations, aircraft lease disputes, antitrust, bankruptcy and contract and commercial matters. He received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and B.A. from the University of Rochester.
