MemeBridge, a leading web publisher, has acquired TouristSpots (http://www.touristspots.org), a global vacation guide.

TouristSpots provides travelers with in-depth guides to thousands of destinations, helping them to plan life changing trips from the comfort of their own homes. The web site specializes in little-known spots which are usually skipped over by the mass market tourist agencies. This helps site visitors plan trips which are unique experiences, very unlike the service offerings of packages tour companies.

Will Spencer, the CEO of MemeBridge, explains the acquisition decision, "Our standard procedure is to build web sites from scratch, but we are now engaging in targeted acquisitions of high-quality web resources in order to accelerate the growth of our portfolio. We chose TouristSpots because the depth of the sites content makes the site a valuable long-term addition to our portfolio. In addition, the site fills an open niche in our portfolio as a companion to our Expat Intelligence site."

The deal now moves to the technical integration stage, where the MemeBridge tech team will merge the new publication into MemeBridge's custom hosting, content management, and ad serving systems.
