Bozzuto Homes is thrilled to be able to build a new townhome community of this caliber with green construction within downtown Towson.
Towson, MD (PRWEB) July 26, 2012
Bozzuto Homes today announced that a Baltimore County tax credit will allow homebuyers at its Towson Green community to see up to $3,300 in savings annually.
Towson Green, a new traditional neighborhood development consisting of 121 for-sale townhomes in the heart of Towson, lies within Baltimore County's Towson Commercial Revitalization District, and as a result, qualifies for a Revitalization Property Tax Credit, a benefit that Bozzuto Homes is passing along to homebuyers. Under this program, residents only pay taxes for the assessed value of the community’s land rather than the building’s value for a period of five to ten years.
“Bozzuto Homes is thrilled to be able to build a new townhome community of this caliber with green construction within downtown Towson,” Thomas Baum, president of Bozzuto Homes, said. “We are excited that new homebuyers will have the opportunity to take advantage of this Baltimore County tax abatement.”
Normally, a $375,000 home would incur state and county taxes in Baltimore County of $4,545 per year. A home of the same price at Towson Green would cost residents only $1,245 per year in taxes – which could add up to a savings of more than $3,000 per year.
The credit will benefit Towson Green residents for at least five years, with the potential to be continued for an additional five years after that.
