“Cannibalism is a fearsome word in any language. Hannibal Lector conjured up all the horrors that terrorize the human mind when he set out to eat the people around him. For even one cannibal to be loose in society increases the sense of alertness everyone has when they are threatened by a flesh eating human. Doors are triple locked, guns are loaded and nobody walks alone.” From these lines, author Dr. Donald J. Phillips takes readers into his experience as he presents his interesting and absorbing book, Hitler, Cannibalism and Other Types of Cannibals.

This book traces the events of Phillips’ life as he lived through various experiences of cannibalism. In this book, he will take readers on a journey through his early years in England, where he went through the dramas of Hitler’s cannibalism as he attempted to consume his country. Then he began to experience the awakening of religious cannibalism. As a direct result of this experience, he left England for a new way of life in the outback of Australia. Subsequently, as a linguist, he lived amongst cannibals in Papua New Guinea for 12 years. He also explores the system of beliefs that dominated his life, and provides a glimpse of how chilling it was to live with cannibals.

Skillfully written, very absorbing, and dashed with adventures, Hitler, Religion and Other Types of Cannibals is an engaging read everyone will find enjoyable.
