Building on a growing reputation for outstanding child play areas installed in and around Perth, Green Planet Grass were chosen to install synthetic grass in the new Brookfield Place, completed recently by construction giants Brookfield Multiplex.
The newest major addition to the CBD skyline in Perth is situated at 125 St Georges Terrace. The tower stands 234 m high, considered as the largest commercial building in Western Australia. It has a total of 86,000 sq m of premium A-Grade commercial space across 45 levels.
Green Planet Grass designed and installed the two-level play area surfaces on the ground and podium levels of Brookfield Place. In keeping with residential customers across Perth, the most popular lawn product – Saturn was chosen for this new iconic location in the city.
Jeff Dennis, Managing Director of Green Planet Grass, said, “Having designed and installed dozens of vibrant synthetic grass and synthetic tennis courts surfaces right across metropolitan Perth, providing inspiring environments for children and families, we were delighted to add to our portfolio of play areas in the impressive Brookfield Place building.”
“Anyone who has been anywhere near the Perth CBD in recent months will be well aware of the significant addition to our state capital’s skyline and we’re sure parents and kids who use the play facilities on the lower floors of the building will be just as impressed with the environment that is there for children.”

Brookfield Place has provided increased commercial space in the Perth CBD, as well as cultural and social development by planning new civic space and vibrant retail areas. Construction of the building started in August 2008. Brookfield Multiplex completed construction 3 months ahead of schedule.
Retailers, commercial office tenants, and restaurant outlets will occupy the building with BHP Billiton, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Barrick Gold as tenants. The building is owned and managed by Brookfield. They are aiming for a 5 NABERS base building energy rating and a 5 Star Green Star Design rating.
Green Planet Grass also takes a serious approach to sustainability with its residential lawn and commercial outdoor products such as Synthetic tennis courts in Perth, artificial grass, and many more – enabling customers to drastically reduce their use of water, fertilisers and pesticides.
