Grand Island, NE: There’s a new face at Neuhaus Law Office, but the firm’s name will remain unchanged. Leslie K. Neuhaus is joining her husband and fellow attorney, Gregory Neuhaus, as partner of Neuhaus Law Office in Grand Island, Nebraska.
Leslie Neuhaus brings 11 years of experience in Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income benefit cases, and has successfully represented hundreds of disabled child and adult claimants at the administrative, appeals, and federal court levels.
“Helping people get the benefits they deserve is truly rewarding,” said Leslie. “Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income laws can be confusing and complicated, and finding an attorney with experience in these areas can make a huge difference in the case. I’m very pleased to be joining my husband in providing our clients with quality legal representation.” Gregg Neuhaus focuses on cases involving Bankruptcy and Personal Injury.
Leslie Neuhaus earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of South Dakota School of Law. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and served as a school teacher, as well as director and fundraising positions for community and nonprofit entities. “My varied depth of experience has served me well in law,” said Leslie. “It has given me a deeper understanding of the issues and stresses people are facing,” she said.
She has been widely involved in professional affiliations, including the United States District Court-Nebraska, Nebraska Bar Association, Hall County Bar Association, and the National Organization for Social Security Claimant Representatives. Community service includes co-founding the Moonshell Arts and Humanities Council and the Sandy Dennis Foundation, as well as a variety of board and committee memberships. She was also named the Grand Island Independent Woman of the Year in 2000.
