“‘Poems of Hope, Inspiration & Power’ presents a message of the love, hope and power of God in a person’s life,” Belk says.

Hazel B. Belk’s new poetry collection “Poems of Hope, Inspiration & Power” (published by Balboa Press) offers to readers poetry written across a nine-decade lifetime, meant to inspire and illustrate a strong faith and happiness.

“‘Poems of Hope, Inspiration & Power’ presents a message of the love, hope and power of God in a person’s life,” Belk says.

An excerpt from “Poems of Hope, Inspiration & Power,” the poem “Inner Peace”:

“The thought of my life led by a guide
Who is sure steadfast and strong.
Though I am small, though I am weak,
He leads me and keeps me from wrong.
Though I may stumble or lose my sight
He lifts me and makes me see,
That He is my shepherd, that He is my light’
That He is living in me.
That He Is living in me.
That He is living in me.”

In the best tradition of inspirational poetry, Belk hopes only that readers, upon finishing “Poems of Hope, Inspiration & Power,” will discover a sense of “… hope, inspiration and power learned through my personal experiences while receiving God’s love.”
