West Chester, OH (PRWEB) July 30, 2012
iNET Interactive has announced today the location and date for the ninth annual HostingCon, the world’s premier conference and trade show serving the web hosting, cloud and managed services industry. HostingCon 2013 will be held in Austin, Texas, from June 17-19 at the Austin Convention Center, located in the heart of the Texas Capital—one of the most technologically advanced convention facilities in the country.
HostingCon attendees include technical and business decision-makers from web hosts, cloud providers and managed services providers, as well as the infrastructure and application providers who serve this audience. In 2012, HostingCon attendees represented more than 35 countries. Whether traveling domestically or internationally, HostingCon attendees expect a high-class location to get business done while also enjoying an opportunity to relax and have fun—all of which Austin delivers.
“For HostingCon 2013, we wanted to re-visit Austin, Texas, the location of HostingCon 2010, because of the overwhelming positive feedback received from attendees. Austin has a perfect mix of worldwide accessibility, robust technology industry and internationally-recognized entertainment,” explains Kelly Kleiner, VP of sales and events at iNET Interactive, the producer of HostingCon. “The Austin Convention Center has a state-of-the-art communication infrastructure, it’s just 7.5 miles from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, and it’s walking distance to world-class dining, entertainment and hotels.”
Austin is also home to the famed South by Southwest conference (SXSW), an annual film, music and interactive conference and festival that draws more than 5,000 tech-savvy attendees. The gigabit-rated convention facility offers communication infrastructure capable of moving voice, video and data at 1 billion bits per second, making it perfectly capable of meeting the capacity demands of HostingCon’s hi-tech attendees.
On any given night, live music plays at any of nearly 200 venues throughout the city. In the early 1990s, the sheer number of music venues earned Austin the “Live Music Capital of the World” title it still holds today. Austin is also one of the country’s top technology cities and Entrepreneur magazine recently named it one of the top cities in the country for entrepreneurs. Technology giants including Dell, Samsung and Advanced Micro Devices, as well as many large data centers and hosting companies, are located around Austin.
“We had terrific feedback about the educational program at HostingCon 2012, and we’re already working on raising the bar for 2013,” stated Liam Eagle, HostingCon co-chair. “We intend for the 2013 program to be the best HostingCon program ever and I expect Austin to be the setting for some truly exciting and memorable HostingCon moments.”
