Longstreth - Leading Women's Sporting Goods Store Announces New Hire to Field Hockey Management Team

Jesse Gey's years of dedication, passion, and proven commitment to the game of field hockey make her a natural fit to Longstreth Women's Sports.

Longstreth is extremely pleased to announce that Jesse Gey has been hired to be the Assistant Field Hockey Manager. Jesse will be a key member of the Longstreth Field Hockey Management Team. “We are very proud to have Jesse Gey join our team at Longstreth,” says Jana Withrow, Longstreth Field Hockey Manager. “She has been and continues to be a hardworking, knowledgeable, loyal ambassador to the sport of field hockey. She brings great enthusiasm to her work, she is a people person, and she is driven to succeed. I am confident she will further our commitment to provide world-class customer service to our hockey customers.”

“I am thrilled with the opportunity to join the staff at Longstreth. My professional goals and desire to grow the sport of field hockey in this country align perfectly with this organization's mission statement.” states Gey, who joins the Longstreth team on July 30, 2012. Jesse has been a member of the USA Women's National Team since 2007 and participated in the 2011 Gold Medal Pam American Games, the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, the 2008 Gold Medal US Qualifier, and the 2007 NCAA Championship.

Jesse graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008 with a Communications Degree in Organization and Management. She also completed a two-year premier leadership program during her time at UNC. As part of the Tar Heel team, she was a first team All-American and All-ACC in 2007. She was voted Most Valuable Player by team mates and the coaching staff in 2006 and was part of the 2004 and 2007 ACC Champion Team.

In 2010, Jesse became a Communications Ambassador for the USA Field Hockey National Program, where she represents USA Field Hockey at NCAA and high school club events, serving as a role model for young athletes. Her dedication to the game of field hockey has been demonstrated with coaching and volunteering with the Carolina Field Hockey Camps, in which she's been involved with since 2005.
