HealthCompare has new ideas for reaching and teaching consumers

HealthCompare chose to continue to educate consumers so they can make the best decisions possible for their needs.

American health insurance consumers now have a guide to help them learn to make effective health care decisions in HealthCompare. They are a nationally recognized health insurance comparison site that consistently demonstrates a need to help shoppers find policies that are right for them.

In their most recent endeavor, HealthCompare has announced the release of ebooks to help reach Americans who may need help handling difficult situations with various stages of life through ebooks.

Seeing the power of the self-publishing industry to reach more readers than ever before through the affordability and portability of ebooks, they have decided to follow suit and release weekly lifestyle ebooks to help people make the most of their lives.

But this isn’t the first avenue of education HealthCompare has pursued.

Prior to the ebooks, they released infographics to illustrate the hardships that are associated with health insurance. These graphics use vibrant colors and images to distill the essence of a topic from its industry language and jargon so readers can more easily understand them.

Infographics were a natural step in the evolution of HealthCompare’s education efforts that began on their website when visitors were asked to delve deep into their medical needs by answering questions that would help them understand their health insurance needs more completely.

Some of the questions that HealthCompare posed to site visitors were:
What are the consumers current health care needs? Do they currently require medication? Does the consumer have a pre-existing condition? Or are they seeking to start a family in the near future?

Does the financial state of the shopper allow for a lower deductible, thusly giving them a higher monthly premium? Or would having a high deductible (and therefore lower monthly premium) be more beneficial?

What will the policies being compared offer in terms of maximum out-of-pocket expense?

Will the consumer’s office visits be covered?

Do any of the policies up for comparison offer maternity?

Is prescription drug coverage an option?

How much will the consumer pay for emergency services and ambulances?

Will the current primary physician and local hospitals be accepted under any of the policies being considered?

Health insurance costs are much more involved than mere premiums and buyers must carefully consider all out of pocket expenses to understand what their policies will ultimately cost them.

That’s why HealthCompare chose to continue to educate consumers so they can make the best decisions possible for their needs.
