Mainstream Technologies Hires Calvin Hill as Software Developer

Mainstream Technologies is pleased to announce the hiring of Calvin Hill to its software development staff. Calvin will be filling a senior position that was created due to the continued growth of a long-term project.

Hill’s most recent position was with Market Strategies International (MSI). Being grounded with Java technologies, Calvin assisted MSI in building a Web Portal framework from the ground up using technologies such as JSF, Flex, Groovy and Jasper Reports.

His prior experience includes a position with Alltel Information Services and was a key player integrating Computer Telephony Integration into their Service Delivery Call Center application. Moving from Visual Basic/C++ to Java/JSP development allowed him to become a valuable asset working on ABC Financial’s DataTrak application for health and fitness clubs. In the past 11 years, Calvin has worked on 7 different Java web frameworks, which gives him a solid foundation with any Enterprise Java Web application.

Personally, Calvin works with the Faulkner County Library offering a free computer training class once a month. He has taught users how to use email, Microsoft Word, Facebook, Twitter, Ebay, and educated them on web security. He is also engaged in a yearly mission trip to Nicaragua with his church. While there, the team is involved in teaching English in the schools, working at a local orphanage, participating in a nightly Vacation Bible School, and teaching Pastors at Bible Institute.
