One Direction announced its 2013 world tour but tickets for many venues are already sold out. But prices are still competitive on the secondary market and is no exception.

One Direction, the British-Irish boy band, announced its 2013 world tour back in April. But with dates more than one year away, tickets are sold out for many venues. So what's a fan to do? is one of many secondary market ticket websites that has a solution. And for a limited time, they are offering new customers savings simply by using the code 1DIRECTION at checkout.

We had a chance to catch up with owner Matthew Brenner to find out why tickets are so hot for an event a year away. "These guys have really taken the scene by storm," raved Brenner. "They had a great showing at the Kids' Choice Awards and really made a broad appeal with their Saturday Night Live appearance. And they really seem to have broad appeal."

The bands hit song "What Makes You Beautiful" took the UK charts by storm selling 150,000+ copies in the first week. The pop tune made its way to the top ten in Australia, New Zealand and right here in the United States. And the band is making its success not only with its youthful fanbase but also with their parent's generation.

"You hear it everywhere and you hear people of all ages singing along," noted Brenner. "I think parents are actually excited to take their kids to a concert, and that doesn't happen too often.

But with many venues already sold out, many will have to look to the secondary market. Brenner noted that prices really haven't skyrocketed on his website and suggests that might be a product of the distant tour dates. But he also indicated prices would continue to rise as inventory sells and the dates arrive.

"Not many people are thinking about what to do on a Saturday night in the summer of 2013. But you can be sure when people find out One Direction is coming to their town, they are going to go crazy for tickets."

Right now, tickets are starting at prices under $40 on the secondary market. Many speculate those prices could double by next summer. And the recent Twitter crash that was linked to a Twitcam session with One Direction certainly indicates the band's popularity is going to continue upward over the next year.
