The North Texas Corporate Recycling Association will host its annual “gR3een Awards” luncheon on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Irving Convention Center. The NTCRA’s gR3een Awards recognizes the outstanding efforts of members as well as their customers and clients to reduce waste; to establish, deliver, and promote extraordinary recycling programs; and to offer creative recycled products for North Texas.

“NTCRA’s mission is to educate the business community about waste reduction and recycling, to encourage the establishment of commercial recycling programs, and to support the recycling industry in North Texas,” said Elizabeth Combs, president of the organization. “We are honored to use our annual gR3een Awards as a platform for recognizing worthy organizations for recycling progress and innovation.”

This year’s keynote speaker will be John Bradford, Chief Innovations Officer for Interface, a pioneering company in sustainability. Mr. Bradford oversees all manufacturing operations and processes for Interface, as well as for the overall R&D efforts for the company.

The awards event will recognize outstanding environmental programs across the DFW Metroplex with awards in the following categories: Superior Waste Minimization Award, Excellence in Materials Recovery Award, Recycled Product of the Year Award, Excellence in Education and Outreach Award, Best Recycling Partnership Award, Recycler of the Year Award, The gR3een Achievement Award, The gR3een Media Award, and The gR3een Elected Official Award.
