"Caregivers and caregiving are as much a part of senior living as senior communities are. That's why we felt they deserved some recognition and time to shine as our theme of the week."
(PRWEB) July 30, 2012
Caregivers are the backbone of home health agencies, assisted living communities and other senior care communities throughout the world. These dedicated individuals offer more than just assistance with daily needs. They offer companionship, housekeeping services and compassion in areas of people's lives that matter. For all of these reasons and to offer a better understanding of what caregivers offer and the job, training and experience behind caregiving the staff of LivingSenior.com have chosen to make this week caregivers week.
In a recent business luncheon, content manager and former caregiver Megan Coogle, offered her take on the theme of the week and what it means to LivingSenior.com. She had the following to say. "LivingSenior.com tends to focus on seniors and baby boomers who are looking for information about senior living, financial planning, and retirement. We were recently reminded that knowing about caregiving and what a caregiver can offer a family during retirement years is just as vital and important. Caregivers and caregiving are as much a part of senior living as senior communities are. That's why we felt they deserved some recognition and time to shine as our theme of the week."
The theme of the week has been a staple of LivingSenior for over a month. The use of a theme has offered the content team to increase readership, viewers and subscriptions to their blog RSS feed and Senior Center. In addition to the theme based blog posts, which appear daily at 10am cst, there will also be spotlight posts throughout the week to show recognition to caregivers from around the country. This spotlight will show the sites appreciation for caregivers and what they do for each and every resident, patient and family member.
