Each sentence contains the world ‘than’. The sentences compare things for the purposes of humor

Henry David Thoreau once said of the English language, “When I read some of the rules for speaking and writing the English language correctly, I think any fool can make a rule, and every fool will mind it.” In his book, “The Than Book: The 1st 1,000 Colorful and Exotic Images and Newly Invented Expressions Suitable for Most Occasions” (published by AuthorHouse), Neigh Darkhorse offers a fresh look at the use of the English language.
“The Than Book” is a collection of 1,000 humorous and colorful sentences that create for readers amusing and exotic images. Each entry is brimming with Darkhorse’s observations on society and the human condition.
“Each sentence contains the world ‘than’,” Darkhorse explains. “The sentences compare things for the purposes of humor.”
Excerpts from “The Than Book”:
“70. SOCIETY. Going on a blind date with the wrong person is more uncomfortable than trying to tell a Tyrannosaurus Rex at a chili cook-off that he has bad breath.
523. PHENOMENA. That’s stranger than Cinderella going to the Ball and changing into a pumpkin at midnight on Halloween.
801. PHENOMENA. She has a greater versatility of talent than a concert pianist playing the ‘War of 1812 Overture’ on a guitar in a rock-and-roll band.”
