Tampa, FL (PRWEB) July 30, 2012
The Tampa Bay Technology Forum, Florida’s largest and most influential technology association, announces a call for nominations for its 9th Annual Industry Achievement Awards to be held Nov. 16. Visit the TBTF Website by August 24 to submit a self nomination or to nominate a deserving client, vendor or colleague. TBTF will then send the nominee an official application, which must be completed and mailed to TBTF’s offices by August 31.
The Industry Achievement Awards honor the leading organizations and individuals in the technology industry. Finalists will be selected by a distinguished panel of judges and honored in front of hundreds at a black-tie awards gala. TBTF members are strongly urged to apply, but nominations are also open to other technology companies, regardless of TBTF membership status.
“This year we have revamped the award categories to be more inclusive of our region’s technology industry and leaders,” said Heather Kenyon, TBTF’s president and CEO. “For example, the new collaboration award will recognize a group or groups who have put the greater good of the tech community over their own regional, organizational or political bias in order to meet an overall project objective. We have also opened up the nominations to companies with operations in the state of Florida, not just the Tampa Bay area.”
Award categories include:
Collaboration Award – Recognizes a group or groups that best demonstrate their ability to break down traditional silos to work together to meet an overall project objective. Applicants need to describe their ability to put the greater good of their community over their own regional, organizational or political biases.
Excellence in Service Award – Recognizes an organization providing professional services aimed at growing technology companies.
Emerging Technology Company of the Year Award – Recognizes a technology company headquartered in the state of Florida that has been in business less than five years.
Technology Company of the Year Award – Recognizes an established technology company that has been in business five or more years, has achieved industry success and made a positive impact on the region.
CIO of the Year – Recognizes a CIO or CTO who has made a significant and positive impact on the technology industry.
Technology Leader of the Year – Recognizes a demonstrated leader who has made a significant and positive impact on the technology industry regardless of their title.
This year’s Industry Achievement Awards Gala is sponsored by CIBER, Bright House Networks Business Solutions, Forsythe, Genesis Direct and Veredus.
