Houston, TX (PRWEB) July 31, 2012
Comedy Driving had its annual instructor training and joke session for its 2012 year on July 28. This is the time when all instructors and Comedy Driving Inc. management get together and decide on its agenda and goals for the coming year.
The session takes place every year at the main location in Houston, TX. The event is not required by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), but to promote high standards all Comedy Driving instructors are required to attend since the meeting pertains to the improvement of the classroom and internet course. Topics that are discussed in the meeting include customer service, current laws, humor enhancement, politically correctness and TEA instructor guidelines.
Comedy Driving is now the largest comedy internet course in Texas and taking care of the customers is a major priority. The classroom course is the time when instructors have face to face interaction with customers and the customers’ feedback is always taken into account in the classroom environment. Currently customers are given an optional survey at the end of class to let the company know how they felt about the course. Comedy Driving Inc. also promotes online testimonials on Google, Yelp, Facebook, and many other online review websites.
Other topics covered include the renewal or updates of certain laws in Texas, new laws, driving habits and teaching them general and specific driving skills. For example, in 2012 Texas revised its speed limit in certain highways of the state to 75 mph. The increase was from 70 mph to 75 mph for the most part. Additionally, there is now no nighttime speed limit. The speed limit for the day is now the same speed that applies during night time driving.
During the meeting, an open joke session takes place in which suggestions for new jokes or for certain scripts that do well with the public are reviewed. The jokes introduced by the instructor comics are critiqued by their peers. The comics are allowed to use their own material with the thought in mind that the jokes must be appropriate. The best jokes and ideas from the comedians may also be used on the Comedy Driving website which can be viewed by anyone who takes the online course.
Being politically correct and appropriate use of humor in the class will also be covered. In such a diverse society, setting boundaries on what is funny and what is offensive is always changing and the comedian instructors have to provide quality entertainment with driving education with non-offensive humor.
Moreover, the meeting reviews topics the Texas Education Agency stresses all defensive driving classroom and internet providers must comply with. For instance, making sure all course subjects are covered in a timely and efficient manner. The 6-hours session seems like a long time to cover material but the course must include an hour’s worth of breaks, at least one hour’s worth of videos and answer questions which pertain to the topics.
Comedy Driving aims to provide the best instruction possible and continues to provide quality entertainment by constantly retraining instructors and updating its website to keep its students and customer’s informed with the most recent driving laws and subjects that influence driving habits. Defensive driving courses may also reduce the cost of insurance by 10%.
