Michael Barnes secured the win at the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix aboard the Barracuda-Lightning SuperBike in the ePower/TTXGP category. It was the first race and first win aboard the solar-powered Barracuda-Lightning SuperBike that treads lightly with a zero carbon footprint.
“We are proud to be a part of this historic victory,” said Michael Perone, co-founder and chief marketing officer at Barracuda Networks. “It’s a great feeling to help bring forth innovative technology that leads to a win like this — that’s what we strive for at Barracuda Networks.”
This was the third year that the ePower bikes have raced the Red Bull MotoGP at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, and the second for the TTXGP series. After racing the series for the past two years, Barnes finally came away with the win in convincing fashion and with much improved lap times aboard the new Barracuda-Lightning bike.
