PureStrike Medicus Golf Academy in Destin, Fla., announced today that Teri Strohmeyer has joined the staff as director of fitness.
Teri will oversee strength and flexibility training for academy students, including junior golfers in the PureStrike Junior Development Program. She is certified as a personal trainer by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, and she also holds certifications from TRX, PaddleFit and Resist-A-Ball.
"Teri brings wide-ranging experience in the health and fitness field to our academy," says Randy Sparks, director of instruction at PureStrike Medicus Golf Academy. "With her on the staff, our students now get the best golf instruction in the Florida panhandle coupled with top-notch strength and conditioning coaching."
Over the years, Teri has worked with not only high school and senior golfers, but also lacrosse, soccer and tennis players; cheerleaders; and stand-up paddleboard racers. She also has experience with post-surgery rehabilitation, weight loss programs, bootcamps, water aerobics and senior fitness.
A former competitive water skier, Teri has a family full of fellow athletes. Mark, her husband, works in the tennis department at TOPS'L Beach & Racquet Resort in Destin. Her oldest son, Scott, plays Division I golf at the University of Alabama, while teenager Will participates in competitive cheerleading for the Premier Wildcats of Panama City, Fla. Her youngest, Sara, enjoys all sports and school.
