I started this service after listening to a lot of people who wanted to make a difference but didn’t have the time or money – so I created a service that enables volunteers to pick their area of interest and how can they help.

MADin15.org is also unique because it allows a person to volunteer in many forms which includes writing skills, computer skills or marketing skills and all of this volunteer work can be done from home.
‘The National Center for Charitable Statistics (NCCS)’ has listed over 1,563,596 non-profit organizations in United States. It found that over 26% of the U.S adults have volunteered through non-profit organizations with more than 15 billion hours in 2010. The numbers might be promising but the industry has been facing problems in recent times because matching volunteer skills with assignments have become increasingly difficult.
The founder of MADin15.org, Adam Radly told us, “I started this service after listening to a lot of people who wanted to make a difference but didn’t have the time or money – so I created a service that enables volunteers to pick their area of interest and how can they help.” The website MADin15.org was launched on 18th July 2012 and has been a huge hit - over 100 Non Profits registered in volunteer opportunities in just 2 days since its launch.
Another study about ‘How the Internet has Changed Volunteering’ done by Molly O’Rourke, Peter D. Hart Research Associates, Inc., Washington have proved that the Internet is the second biggest medium used to find volunteers in the United States. The Internet is an open hub for people to connect but Non-profits are having trouble finding the most suitable volunteers in their area. Adam Radly is hoping that his website MADin15.org will help overcome this hurdle.
MADin15.org also goes beyond just volunteering. Adam Radly said, “One of the most important aspects of MADin15.org is that the members on the website can Make A Difference by simply sharing the public opinion and making the local and national leaders aware about important issues.” MADin15.org is a one of a kid service as it not only allows volunteers to make a difference by dedicating some amount of time to an “on the ground” activity but it also helps in other ways. Adam Radly says that “people can volunteer by participating in poll questions, petitions, donating money without spending much time and connecting with like-minded people.”

About Nelson Mandela Day
There could be nothing more fitting than to celebrate Mr Mandela’s birthday each year with a day dedicated to his life’s work and that of his charitable organizations, and to ensure his legacy continues forever.
The Mandela Day campaign message is simple: Mr Mandela gave 67 years of his life fighting for the rights of humanity. All we are asking is that everyone gives 67 minutes of their time, whether it’s supporting your chosen charity or serving your local community.
Mandela Day is a call to action for individuals – for people everywhere – to take responsibility for changing the world into a better place, one small step at a time, just as Mr Mandela did.
