According to SupplyChainBrain, CRP Industries has bucked the trend of contraction in the current economic environment. The prominent supply chain management publication highlighted the cause of this success recently in their article “When You Are in Demand, You Need a Good Plan” in their July/August issue.
The feature specifically profiled the sales and inventory benefits that CRP achieved and attributed to their solution partner Blue Ridge, a leading SaaS demand planning and inventory optimization provider, who was named a “Great Supply Chain Partner” in the same issue, partly based on their role in CRP’s results.
In the article, CRP stated that the partnership has been significant to their business. “Business has pretty much close to doubled…We’ve been steadily improving fill rates, service levels are up. We’ve also had noticeable improvements in our inventory turns. It’s hard to do both of those at the same time, and we’ve been able to do it.” reported Dan Schildge, President of CRP Industries.
CRP is a front-runner in the automotive parts and industrial products sectors. The company supplies several of the most recognized brands in the automotive industry, and while OEM sales have slowed, CRP’s overall demand has increased. Not their first success with Blue Ridge, the Cranbury, New Jersey company had previously stated that during their growth that backorders were reduced to the lowest level in the company’s 60 plus year history.
A few years ago, the company found it impossible to effectively manage their complex supply chain with their ERP solution. The SupplyChainBrain article identifies CRP’s selection of the Blue Ridge demand planning and replenishment solution as the catalyst to their success. The companies teamed to align demand and supply, and to assure that CRP could meet the requirements of their distribution, retail and OEM partners.
CRP continues to see major improvements after implementing Blue Ridge Replenish, and is still deepening their partnership with Blue Ridge. Stated Greg White, CEO of Blue Ridge, “CRP was our very first customer, and the innovation and leadership that Dan and his team have shown has earned them this recognition.” White continued, “We’re happy to see companies succeeding by not only employing our advanced solutions, but also through their commitment to talent development that assures results. Our team thrives on being there for our customers and shares the enthusiasm and joy for successes like these.”
