"We think it is wonderful that services are available for going green, but our job is to provide information on green living and that means educating the public on the why instead of just the what and when."

This week GoGreen delves into the meaning of why people should go green. They question of "Why Go Green," is asked often. In a time where going green and green living is mentioned thorughout the day on news shows and broadcasts it is hard to decipher why someone should go green at all. This was the topic of discussion at a recent green living business seminar held by GoGreen.org's content manager Megan Coogle. Ms. Coogle had the following to say regarding the theme and the questions about green living.

"We have a lot of green living service providers and sales professionals that come to us asking why they can't get sales. The truth is that the green product may be the best thing to hit green living in decades, but if the consumer does not know why the product works or how the product relates to helping the environment they are going to look at it as a fad. We think it is wonderful that services are available for going green, but our job is to provide information on green living and that means educating the public on the why instead of just the what and when."

They "why" of going green is exactly what the content staff plans on handling. This weeks blogs, articles and discussions will be centered on why people should not only go green but use certain products, make certain choices and look for specific green services in their search for a green lifestyle. The green blogs, which appear each weekday morning at 10am central standard time, will discuss general ideas while the the green center of GoGreen.org will cover more in depth and exclusive content on topics.
