The consistent class schedule, the availability of our advisors and faculty, and the affordable cost allow our students to really succeed in ways they often never thought possible.

Southern New Hampshire University’s Advantage Program, offered exclusively at the university’s Salem, NH campus, has been nationally recognized by Lumina Foundation as a no-frills approach to higher education dedicated solely to learning. High school graduates short on time and money, but not on potential, are able to earn an associate degree in liberal arts, or begin working on their bachelor’s degree, in just two years at a fraction of the cost of a traditional, on campus degree program at Southern New Hampshire University.
The SNHU Advantage Program is designed to provide support and structure to students with limited time and resources, many of who might not have believed they were college material prior to inclusion in the program. At a cost that is nearly 60 percent off of full-time undergraduate day school tuition, small instructor-to-student ratios, and morning classes, held from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday, students are able to continue to work, often full-time, and maintain the rest of their life while they earn their associate degree. The students engage in 12-week class terms and have regular access to advisors, tutors and faculty members.
There’s a real sense of community in our Advantage Program,” said Laura Corddry, program director. “The consistent class schedule, the availability of our advisors and faculty, and the affordable cost allow our students to really succeed in ways they often never thought possible.”
Touted as “a revelation for recessionary times” by The Boston Globe, the program is available for a limited number of students at the Salem, NH location.
