The economic growth burst expected in Southwest Louisiana inspired a local executive to leave Corporate America and launch a business to help area business owners and professionals drive success and balance their lives.

According to Dr. Loren Scott, a consulting economist and retired professor of economics at LSU, the Lake Charles Metropolitan area plans a remarkable $20.6 billion in new construction work in 2012 and 2013– including three of the largest projects in southwest Louisiana history.

As the new President of The Growth Coach of Southwest Louisiana, David Narigon has a great deal to offer local businesses during this expansion. Narigon is a former executive in the insurance industry with 31 years of management experience. But, he also has a unique sideline - he owns and manages a farm of nearly 800 acres of land in Corning, Iowa, 780 miles away. He’s a master at balancing two businesses successfully, and wants to share his skills with those who struggle to keep even one enterprise operating smoothly.

“I’ve seen too many business owners spending the majority of their time handling snafus, answering phones and taking care of everyday tasks their employees should be handling, essentially making them feel overwhelmed and unhappy,” says Narigon. “My goal is to work with local business owners and leaders and help them run their businesses more effectively and efficiently, while balancing their professional and personal lives.”
