At the end of June, G.A.S. Energy Services Korea LLC (G.A.S.), an affiliate of G.A.S. Unlimited, agreed on a joint marketing and cooperation agreement with StopKorea, Ltd.

Stopkorea Company Limited is a Korean based “Total Service Provider” dedicated to Korea’s shipbuilding and energy sector. Stopkorea, along with its affiliated company AsiaRecruiting Co., provides a full range of employment services. Founded on the belief that people are the most “critical” aspect of the service industry (http://www.stopkorea.com), Stopkorea is dedicated to handling the employee needs of its clients including, but not limited to, the following: recruiting, accommodations, transport (vehicles,) procurement, emergency, and relocation.

G.A.S. and Stopkorea first interacted during the bid phase on a major offshore development project for a world leader in oil and gas production. As the particular bid process unfolded, it became increasingly evident that the Korean market provided unique opportunities, but also presented unique challenges which could limit our growth into that market. Accordingly, G.A.S. initiated discussions with Stopkorea as a means to generate a deeper understanding of what was expected of manpower solutions from Korean-based clients. At the same time, Stopkorea was interested in expanding its knowledge of the global market through discussions with a company experienced in managing global manpower. (http://www.gasunlim.com)

Upon further discussions, the G.A.S.-Stopkorea initiative began to evolve as a means for clients based in or invested in Korean projects to have access to a global “total service provider”. This newly established cooperation agreement allows G.A.S. to proactively enhance its in-country services and knowledge while reinforcing it understanding and presence worldwide. G.A.S. and StopKorea anticipate establishing a long-standing, productive cooperative relationship beneficial to the future growth of both companies.

G.A.S. and Stopkorea expect several logistical and labor opportunities in-country to arise in the near future with a major global, operating company as well as several shipyards and offshore production companies.
