We added the Lync chat integration functionality in order to enable users to connect the Lync chat with their CRM system. The new feature enables users to obtain details about the chat partners directly from CRM.

MSCRM-ADDONS.COM develops and distributes addons for Microsoft Dynamics CRM. In general, the TelephoneIntegration addon connects Microsoft Dynamics CRM with various phone systems (TAPI, OCS, Lync and/or Skype). The main user interface is provided in form of a pop-up window called ‘balloon’. This balloon contains various information (e.g. information about the call duration, the call direction, the caller name, the caller location, etc.) and functionalities. Regarding the functionalities, users have the possibility to open regarding CRM-records or to create new entities and activities directly from within the ballon. Furthermore, the product enables users to search for CRM records which enables them to start outgoing calls directly from within this balloon. All calls are tracked and shown in a call history. This allows to analyse calling durations and to quickly select and call back previously contacted persons.
The new Lync chat integration feature can easily be activated in the settings of the addon. After the activation, a specific TelephoneIntegration Lync chat window pops up. Within this window, all current chat-conversations are displayed and details about the instant messaging partners are retrieved from CRM and displayed. Within the TelephoneIntegration Lync chat window, users have the possibility to open the chat-partners' CRM records or to create a new contact, lead or account based on the chat-partners' Lync details. Additionally, the feature enables users to create a new case or to copy the complete chat content by just clicking on one single button. Users are also able to store the conversations in a structured and organised way within the CRM by creating a chat- or a letter-activity. The product is available for MS CRM on-premise, hosted (IFD) and CRM online.
