In a study released today, IntelliReview.com announced that “Angel” by Thierry Muggler is currently rated the most popular perfume brand among online reviewers.
The well-reviewed perfume won top honors by receiving over 1700 customer reviews with an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars. The #2 and #3 perfumes in the study are “Lovely” by Sarah Jessica Parker and “Design” by Paul Sebastian.
Utilizing their proprietary software and ranking system, IntelliReview analyses product reviews from various sources throughout the Internet in an unbiased fashion. This method of ranking, which IntelliReview has implemented for numerous products, leverages the power of consumers by converting reviews in to votes; a positive review translates into a positive vote and a negative review becomes a negative vote. For this newly released study, reviews for the top 25 perfumes were calculated with “Angel” ranking above the rest.
“By tabulating thousands of perfume reviews from various websites, IntelliReview is able to calculate which products consumers favor,” explained owner, Jeff Chung. “Typically product purchasers only provide a review if they are really happy or really mad about their purchase. Now however, by tabulating the specific number of positive reviews, we are equipped with the ability to accurately assess consumer passion for a wide variety of products.”
In addition to perfumes, IntelliReview collects reviews for a number of product types including vacuums, HDTVs, cameras, coffee makers and more.
