Marv Morey, Ameren and Jim Kuchler, Nicor Gas are Inducted into MEA’s Hall of Fame

MEA is proud to announce that Marv Morey, managing supervisor, operations – electrical training and auditing for Ameren Illinois Company and Jim Kuchler, directory, regional operations for Nicor Gas, an AGLE Resources Company were inducted into MEA’s Hall of Fame at the Electric and Gas Operations Technical & Leadership Summits.

The Hall of Fame program recognizes those outstanding individuals who have contributed leadership and expertise to the energy industry through MEA events.

“Marv’s contributions over the past decade have been exemplary.” Said John Gann, MEA’s vice president for electric services. “He leads by example and is always willing to step up and make a contribution. It has been a sincere pleasure and honor to work with him.” Morey has contributed to the energy industry through MEA in many ways over the years, including:

•     Chairing the Overhead Distribution Committee
•     Serving as a committee member since founding of electric section in 2001
•     Participating on the ElectricU Steering Committee
•     Being a strong contributor to the development of ElectricU courses
•     Participating in more than 20 MEA events

“There’s a reason I gave Jim the nickname ‘Rockstar’ several years back. His leadership, vision and contributions to MEA, the creative genius behind Energetic Women, and the benefits to the industry deserve to be recognized. MEA Members have benefited and he continues to have a positive impact for those around him.” Kuchler is honored for:

•     Chairing the Gas Distribution Committee
•     Participating on the Gas Operations Steering Committee
•     Being an active contributor and committee member since 1997
•     Participating in more than 20 MEA events
•     He is the visionary behind the Energetic Women concept and name
