In a future where people stop aging at 25, but are engineered to live only one more year, having the means to buy your way out of the situation is a shot at immortal youth. Here, Will Salas (Justin Timberlake) finds himself accused of murder and on the run with a hostage - a connection that becomes an important part of the way against the system and LED Signs were used to track them down.
Immortal Productions, the production company of In Time, sought to incorporate dynamic LED Signs in their futuristic movie and reached out to ADvantage LED Signs (based in Houston, TX) who delivered and managed the project with ease. It was vital that the refresh rate on the LED sign matched seamlessly with the capabilities of their filming equipment. The U.S. based manufacturer, Vantage LED, who developed the DarwinTM Control Unit (outfitted in all of their LED signs) ensured the production company that they would encounter no problems. The entire staff at In Time was thrilled with the quality and performance of the LED signs as well as the customer service and support.
Ivan Perez, from Vantage LED, was lending support onsite. He was behind the scenes with Academy Award Nominee cinematographer Roger Deakins to meet all of the demands that the production company requested. One example was that he collaborated with [the Vantage software design team] and created a sub scale of brightness in the software. This was needed in order for the camera to be able to film the LED sign. They went down to 1/100 of 1 percent in order to accommodate Hollywood. Every client has a unique application and tailoring to those needs with a unique solution is what makes ADvantage LED and Vantage LED excel in this industry.
“It was an amazing experience creating something that was envisioned for a futuristic setting and that our product was a huge part of it,” added Ivan.
