I’m Fine, Thanks makes its Canadian debut and premiere at the Ottawa International Film Festival August 18th, 2012. The film is an inspiring documentary by five filmmakers who travelled 10,000 miles over 42 days interviewing every day people and social celebrities. I’m Fine, Thanks is a dynamic collection of true stories of people who have achieved success as we know it yet found something was missing from their lives. The film documents their new-found paths to freedom, fulfillment and success on their terms.
“I’m Fine, Thanks, is an optimistic mental and spiritual journey of what happens when we take ownership of our own lives and live out our dreams. We are so proud and honoured that the OIFF is the Canadian Premiere destination for this film. We are simply blown away by the amount of support the film has received from the community!” said Nina Bains, Executive Director, OIFF
Both Adam Baker, Producer and Grant Peelle, Director demonstrate through their own life experiences, their personal commitment to following their dreams and challenging the status quo of what is expected.
“4 years ago, my wife and I made a decision that would change our lives forever. We decided to pay off our debt, sell everything we owed, and spend a year traveling abroad with our daughter. Our journey changed our view of work, passion, and life - and we've yet to look back!” Adam Baker, Producer.
“For 15 years I had placed my dreams on hold, choosing to create a 'responsible' life instead of chasing my dream to be a filmmaker. This movie is my stand against complacency. It is a dream come true,” Grant Peelle, Director.
In true entrepreneurial and community spirit, I’m Fine, Thanks was partially crowdfunded, raising over $110,000.00 from almost 4500 backers to complete the groundbreaking film. The film’s crowdfunding campaign is one of the most successful in film history and broke Kickstarter.com's crowdfunding platform records for highest number of backers for a documentary.
