Byron Cherry, “Coy Duke” From Dukes Of Hazzard, Stops by to Visit General Welding & Fabricating and the Made In America Store

The Made In America Store meets TV Icon, Byron Cherry or Coy Duke from the Dukes of Hazzard. In light of the Marilla Car Show, the Made In America Store sent their word of buying US made products and Cherry took notice.

The Made In America Store made quite the scene last weekend when the store helped sponsor some of the Marilla Car Show of 2012. Ricky Lee, a Nashville Recording Artist, was also at the show which was presented by the Made In America Store. Since the opening in April of 2010, Mark Andol, owner and creator of the Made In America Store, has met a wide variety of people. The next person Andol was to meet could have surprised anyone. Byron Cherry, the actor that played Coy Duke on the Dukes of Hazzard, took notice to the 'Buy American' movement.

The Marilla Car Show had over 1,100 registered cars and even more registered bikes at the Marilla, New York event, not to mention numerous celebrities and cameos of famous vehicles. People from all over Western New York enjoyed the sites of rolling hills filled with cars on Two Rod road and food vendors, all of which benefited Mercy Flight of Western New York.

Some of the famous cars that were displayed at the Marilla Car Show was the Mad Max Pursuit Special 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT Coupe, Bumblebee Camaro from Transformers, Herbie The Love Bug, The Bluesmobile, Smokey and The Bandit Trans Am, Starsky & Hutch Gran Torino and the Charlie's Angels Cobra.

Participants of the event were given a chance to meet Bobby Allison, Lou Santiago, Diane Sox, Ricky Lee and Byron Cherry. Bobby Allison was the 4th driver to earn the title of NASCAR drivers of the century, earning him the name "The Legend". Among other awards, Bobby Allison also won the NASCAR Award of Excellence, two-time Auto Racing Driver of the Year, seven-times Most Popular Driver and 84 NASCAR Winston Cup victories.

Another big name at the Marilla Car Show, Lou Santiago, is a host of a few TV car-builder shows, and named one of the Top Five Best Car Builders and Master Fabricators in the country. Lou Santiago performed a live demonstration on Saturday.

Diane Sox also made an official appearance at the Marilla Car Show. Sox, the proud wife of late Ronnie Sox, helped promote the Ronnie Sox Foundation to raise awareness of prostate cancer. Her husband, Ronnie Sox, was a five time World Champion Drag Racer.

Byron Cherry, the actor who played Coy Duke stopped by the Made In America Store and General Welding to see what Mark Andol had to offer. The Made In America Store even caught a photo with Byron Cherry!
