Young readers learn all about the little town of Ashthumbula in “Thumbody Loves You” (published by Trafford Publishing), the new children’s book by Barbara Pierson.

In “Thumbody Loves You”, readers meet Miss Thumb One, the book’s heroine. Miss Thumb One appears uneasy as she ponders the decision she made regarding her school project. She cannot wait to see the results at the Thumbday Picnic! With Pop Thumbody, Mother Thumbody, Baby Thumbody and the baby quinthumplets in tow, Miss Thumb One will soon see how small decisions can have big results.

Describing “Thumbody Loves You” as “whimsical,” Pierson expects parents will enjoy the story as much as their little ones. “’Thumbody Loves You’ will appeal to readers ages 8 and up and those young at heart,” says Pierson.

An excerpt from “Thumbody Loves You”:

Miss Thumb One walked briskly up the walk to the Thumbody’s house. She couldn’t stop wondering to herself, “Did I do the right thing in calling those two? Will they come to the picnic? Should I call them back?”

Miss Thumb One was now at the door of the house, so she knocked and then waited patiently on the front step.

Inspired by the real life place of Ashtabula, Ohio, the fictional town of Ashthumbula hosts a multitude of colorful characters that may find themselves in the starring role in subsequent books.
