Last week BBI announced that future dashboards would show a breakout of Fast Casual and Family Dining segments. This week’s release further refines the Casual Dining segment. The Casual Dining segment now includes two sub segments: “varied menu” made up of bar and grill concepts, and “other” represented by those concepts based on a particular type of cuisine (such as Italian, Mexican or Steak) and not typically classified as part of the bar and grill family.
Members can continue to benchmark their companies against the Casual Dining segment overall, but will now have the added capability and power to dive deeper into richer analytics that track, benchmark and analyze operational initiatives at a highly targeted level. Casual Dining is just the beginning of these enhancements as the BBI team continues to work toward breaking out other segments for a vastly detailed view of industry data.
