On August 2nd, 2012, nursery furniture manufacturer, Argington, commends an organic food expansion done by Happy Family.
As the shift towards organic and natural foods continues, New York based food distributor Happy Family recently announced that they are expanding their line of healthy snack foods to include even more options for babies and young children. The relatively new company, headed by CEO Shazi Visram, plans to add close to a dozen new products by the end of 2012.
Happy Family has taken corporate social responsibility one step further by reportedly supplying “183,000 days’ worth of food” to charities helping children in the economically disadvantaged African nations of Malawi and Sierra Leone.
For a company that has already demonstrated an ability to shift its strategies and branding in order to take advantage of a niche market, this latest announcement is the next logical step in the company’s evolution.
Argington spokesperson Clay Darrohn sees this as a positive step forward, not just for the company itself but for the organic movement as a whole. He says, “Here at Argington, we take sustainability and healthy living very seriously. As a company that strives to be eco-friendly, as shown by our organic kids bedding and sustainable nursery furniture, we applaud the decision of Happy Family to expand their line of healthy snack foods for babies and children. As the father of two young children myself, I recognize the need for snacks that both satisfy them and have real nutritional value.”
