According to Lloyd Smith, President of Mindover Software, the upgrade was seamless despite having several other vertical software solutions to upgrade at the same time. “We were able to upgrade Light Tower Rentals’ Sage 300 solution to version 6.0 to take advantage of many new efficiency-enabling features,” Smith says. “The upgrade allows for improved integration with such Sage applications like HRMS, Sage FAS and Sage Insights.”
The upgrade took one day and was even done remotely, resulting in no disruption to Light Tower Rentals’ operations. “The consultants at Mindover Software accomplished a full system upgrade of Sage 300 quickly and professionally,” says Keith Muncy, Chief Financial Officer of Light Tower Rentals. “The upgrade to Sage 300 will allow us to take advantage of time-saving features and integration with other solutions like Sage HRMS and Sage FAS.”
After one day of onsite training, Light Tower Rentals’ financial team has begun using Sage 300’s newer features to improve a variety of key tasks. “Thanks to Sage Accpac Intelligence, we are now able to create and distribute financial reports to our branch managers across seven states so that they have timely, actionable financial data,” notes Muncy. “Additionally, we are now able to import depreciation entries from Sage FAS directly into the general ledger, saving us from having to upload manual entries. Sage 300’s web portal even allows access to key accounting modules from the office and remotely. Since the goal of the financial department is to streamline the financial process and make key financial data available to decision-makers, we have taken a major step forward with the Sage 300 upgrade.”
Smith says that the upgrade will enable the deployment and use of Sage HRMS to help the company manage its rapidly growing workforce spread across 14 locations in seven states. “Integration with Sage HRMS will allow the company to run payroll and manage its HR functions with even greater control over a highly-distributed workforce with minimal effort compared to handling the process in disparate systems.”
