FierceMedicalDevices, a sister publication of FierceBiotech, is launching a new Fierce 15 list focused on the most promising privately-held medical device and diagnostics companies in the world. Mark Hollmer and Damian Garde, Editors of FierceMedicalDevices, are gathering nominations for the feature through August 15.
Fierce will announce winners live at AdvaMed 2012: The MedTech Conference, on Tuesday, October 2 at 4:15PM on the CEOs Unplugged Stage at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Following the live announcement, the daily issue of FierceMedicalDevices will publish in-depth articles about each of the winning companies and what makes them stand out in the industry. Fierce editors will be on hand to meet with the nominees.
The Fierce 15 winners will be chosen based on selection criteria including top management teams, notable financial backing, and promising technologies and market opportunities. FierceMedicalDevices Editors Mark Hollmer and Damian Garde will select the winners in conjunction with Editor-in-Chief John Carroll and Executive Editor Ryan McBride. Like the flagship Fierce15 report for FierceBiotech, now in its 10th year, the inaugural FMD Fierce 15 feature will give readers an important way to follow the progress of up-and-coming companies, and the movers and shakers guiding their growth and evolution,
“Fierce invested in making FierceMedicalDevices a daily publication in the first half of calendar 2012 to provide members of AdvaMed and other device stakeholders the most important and timely news in the industry,” said Arsalan Arif, publisher of the Life Sciences Group at FierceMarkets. “We intend to make the FMD Fierce 15 a highly anticipated annual feature and a yearly showcase of the best young device and diagnostics companies.”
Companies interested in being considered for recognition may submit nominations to the FierceMedicalDevices editorial team at lseditorial(at)fiercemarkets(dot)com or at http://www.fiercemedicaldevices.com/offer/fierce15-2012.
