Steve Otero, Public Relations Director, and Nina Howell, Online Marketing Director, from the Texas based/Nationwide VA lending company, Security America Mortgage, will be attending the Veterans' Job Fair on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 10am-3pm to recruit ambitious veterans looking to grow their careers in the VA NMLS and MLS industry fields.

The VA job fair sponsored by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Department (ESGR), is strategically being held for the first time this year at the Navy Operation Regional Center, located at Ellington Field,14555 Scholl Street, Houston, Texas 77034.

The Texas ESGR's mission statement is, "to gain and maintain the active support of all employers for the men and women serving in the Guard and Reserve by increasing awareness of Federal and State Laws, promoting compliance through education recognizing supportive employers and providing informal mediation services." ESGR successfully recruited other like-minded business sponsors for the Veteran Job Fair, such as Lone Star Veterans Association (LSVA), who specialize in event promotions and suppport of similar activities.

Throughout the event, workshops will be held educating all attendee's on a variety of career related topics in order to enhance their ability to secure employment in the civilian sector. Workshops begin at 8:00AM and cover topics such as “Resume Writing”, “How to Interview”, and “Dressing for Success”. Military service organizations will be on site recruiting members as well 100 employers ready to interview and hire service members.

There are only a few requirements for participating service members, which are:

•     Able to gain gate access with Military ID.
•     If you do not have military ID, contact ESGR to register.
